Miami Book Fair InternationalThe mission of Miami Book Fair International is to promote reading, encourage writing, and heighten an awareness of literacy and the literary arts in our multi-ethnic community.  Miami Book Fair International is a full-scale international event that includes a Sunday-to-Sunday schedule of stellar programs, readings and special activities.

The Miami Book Fair International Schedules are beginning to be finalized.  On the next page, you will find links to the schedules for the week long event in Miami, Florida. 

Well over 300 authors take part in the Fair’s prestigious line-up of back to back author presentations. All day Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, they make Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus come alive with readings and panel discussions.

This year, the Fair developed new programming aimed specifically teens 12 to 17 years old – those a little too old for Dr. Seuss, but not quite ready for Russell Banks. The lineup includes storytelling workshops, acting and dancing sessions, rock band performances, poetry and comic book presentations.

The Congress of Authors begins on Saturday, Nov. 9 with the first Evenings With…. featuring major literary figures reading and discussing their books in English and Spanish.

This year, Miami Book Fair International has partnered with Diamond Book Distributors to present a comprehensive program on graphic novels and the comics world that will celebrate their historical place in our country’s literary life, as well as their recent rise in popularity and integration into the mainstream via book stores, libraries and educational curricula all over the country.
