Popular characters Richard Jury (New Scotland Yard CID) and friend Melrose Plant are back to unravel the death of a wealthy bachelor. His body was found by a youth involved in one of Jury’s previous cases, and when he reports this, it puts Jury in the uncomfortable position of being on someone else’s “patch.” Surprising relationships then develop.

The deceased, Billy Maples, has led a privileged, philanthropic and complicated life. Jury and his team uncover secrets, relationships, traumas and shame that go back many years and have unsuspected ramifications on present day events. Dust has an astounding ending that will have readers demanding a sequel.
