Robin Williams’ Daughter Evokes The Little Prince

by Rachel Baker on August 12, 2014

There is a beautiful passage in The Little Prince I always thought would be a lovely tribute to someone whose life had just ended.  Zelda Williams tweeted it last night. The daughter of Robin Williams tweeting this passage seems like the most apropos thing in the world, just now.

The passage reads:
You – you alone will have the stars as no one else has them…In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night…You – only you – will have stars that can laugh.” ~Antoine De Saint-Exupery

I suspect in this time in her life, there would be nothing more consoling than the thought that her father has ascended to the stars and is up in the night sky laughing.

There are beautiful father/daughter pictures at the link.

Robin Williams’ actress-daughter, Zelda Williams, paid tribute to her late father via Twitter on Monday night after news broke of the beloved actor’s death.

The 25-year-old tweeted a quote from Antoine De Saint-Exupery’s “The Little Prince” to her 105,000 followers.
