MaddAddam Book Trilogy Coming to HBO

by Rachel Baker on June 5, 2014

I have just been reading the 2nd book in this series – The Year of the Flood. The first one – Oryx and crake – was phenonemal; so I immediately bought the second one.

I had never experienced Marget Atwood’s writing and was pleasantly surprised. I originally bought the book because I like the dystopian, wasteland type of story; and I was trying to figure out what it is I like about them. I love some of the wasteland – type video games, and books about survival in dystopian worlds; but I’d never really considered why. So, I thought I’d pick up this trilogy.

I think so far the story is profound; and can’t wait to continue on through Maddaddam.

Its also fantastic news that HBO is going to do the series. Its apparently due out next January. This is a great idea for HBO to schedule this series for one reason and one reason only – the series is complete, which means it is safe to assume the story is completely cohesive and all the ends tie together into a nice neat package.

This is fantastic news. If you haven’t read the books, the story is amazing. It will be interesting to see how the production and directing is done.

The best part: there are only three books – and the trilogy is complete – and the story is completely cohesive with all the lose ends tied up and tied together in a nice neat package…unlike another series HBO has on right now.
