Cheryl Landmark is the author of two published books, Shadows in the Brook (self-published) and Wind and Fire (Asylett).

She was born in Canada in New Liskeard, raised in the small town of Massey and spent most of her adult life in Elliot Lake and Sault Ste. Marie.  Currently, she lives just outside Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada in a small hamlet called Gros Cap.  She lives with her husband and dog, Misty.  From an early age, she was hooked on writing.  She wrote her first “novel” when she was in elementary school.  It was a 10 page story about a group of young kids trying to solve a mystery in their neighborhood.

Shadows in the Brook is a self-published labor of love, conceived over 30 years ago and nurtured through the years.  The locale and the idea for the story were inspired by her stepfather’s trapline north of Massey, where Cheryl spent many weekends and a whole winter helping out.

The story chronicles the life of a young woman who helps her widowed father earn a living on his trapline north of Massey, Ontario.  An unexpected event during a vicious winter blizzard forces Brooke Clayton to draw on her strength and courage to survive in the wilderness with only a fiercely protective and loyal tame wolf Kanuk as her companion.

Wind and Fire was published in 2010, by Asylett Press, an American e-book publisher. The story chronicles the journey one young woman must take to rid the world from evil.

Oblivious to the dangers and evil brewing beyond the borders of the quiet Ardis Valley where she lives, nineteen year old Tenya toils through a life of dreary loneliness and drudgery, plagued by strange, disturbing visions, yearning desperately for the beautiful mother she had not seen since she was three. Her life is abruptly turned upside down when she is abducted in the middle of the night and sent on a perilous journey that will test her courage and the fledgling powers buried deep within her. For not only does she discover that her missing mother, Elea, is a powerful sorceress able to control the forces of the wind, Tenya also learns that she herself possesses a singing power that manifests itself as white fire throughout her body.
